Viola Sondea Sinaga 3SA06 17618250 Learning Japanese at Duolingo I have been learning Japanese at Duolingo until I reached 4th level. In the first lesson, there are 5 levels that must be completed. The focus of this lesson is the Japanese language writing system and hiragana pronunciation. The lessons provided are very easy to understand even for beginners. The learning method focuses on listening and writing skills in Japanese. The easy-to-access Duolingo application allows users to learn while adjusting to the time they have. This allows me to access it every day on a regular basis and makes me familiar with Japanese language learning materials. What did I learn on learning Japanese at Duolingo?  Pop! Letupan kecil dari berondong jagung yang kubuat mulai terdengar. Pop! Pop! Pop! Kian riuh terdengar pertanda hampir saji. Pop! Pop! Pop! Letupannya mereda. Wanginya menyeruak ke seluruh ruangan seolah mengatakan mereka siap disantap. Manis. Gurih. Rasa yang sedari tadi kubayangkan selama menantinya. Letupannya kini berpindah. Di dalam perut lalu menjalar menuju bagian dadaku. Mentransfer rasa bahagia dalam memoriku. Andai semua letupan berakhir manis seperti ini. Mungkin berondong jagung bukan satu-satunya yang selalu kunantikan di akhir pekan. Kini letupannya berakhir di indra penglihatanku. Membuat bayangan samar. Menjalar menjadi isak.  I have completed the First Step Korean Course at Coursera. The following is evidence of learning that I have completed: Based on my experience while using Coursera, especially on learning First Step Korean, it is very helpful in understanding some new vocabulary with an interesting presentation. The course team provides example sentences accompanied by attractive pictures, which make it easier for students to memorize new vocabulary words. But unfortunately, in delivering some examples of conversational dialogue, the teaching team used human-acted conversational videos without hangul transcription instead of pictures. Reading material that includes short reviews and writing exercises makes it easier for students to understand without the need to re-watch the video. The use of proper grammar is also explained simply through example sentences and examples of conversation dialogue.  Learning First Step Korean at Coursera At Coursera, we can learn a lot online. Starting from free classes for beginners, as well as paid certification learning. One of the materials that can be accessed for free is the First Step Korean. I chose to take this class because Korean is now a foreign language other than English which has quite a lot of interest in foreign students, especially among Indonesian students. Before we start learning, there is a learning syllabus on the start page which contains the duration of time we need and information about what material we will learn in the first week to the end. In the learning view, there is a taskbar that contains information on what material we will learn. If we have done the learning in the form of watching videos of learning materials, reading the available materials, and doing quizzes, the material will be automatically marked with a green check.
